SAN SEBASTIÁN GASTRONOMIKA 09

At the same time, San Sebastián Gastronomika will be offering a parallel conference focused on the hotel industry, the dining room, grills, pintxos, wines and cooking for children. Innovative formats include elite classes, exciting debates and “close-up” classrooms for small groups.

The Diario Vasco newspaper (Grupo Vocento), the founder of the San Sebastián gastronomic conference 10 years ago, has launched a new era. San Sebastián Gastronomika 09 (from 23 to 25 November), with production by grup gsr producccions de gastronomia and a technical committed made up of Hilario Arbelaitz, Karlos Arguiñano, Juan Mari Arzak, Martin Berasategui, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Pedro Subijana and Roser Torras.

The conference design, representing a more interactive, hands-on and international era, is expressed in different realms:

The “Top Level  San Sebastián Gastronomika: a concept expressed via the presentation “ Carerers – Memory of the future-“, where duets of famous national and international chefs explain the path followed by their cuisine until reaching their latest preparations. Also, for the first time in San Sebastián, “The Infinite cuisine of Japan”, where we will discover for the first time in Spain, both the most vanguard Japanese chefs as well as the great sushi masters: entrails, fritters or the mythical Kaiseki.

In turn, Off Gastronomika aims at going deeper into the world of the hotel industry, the dining room, cooking for children, grills, wines or pintxos, by means of theme presentations and sensorial classrooms with an interactive approach.

The parallel activities: one of the conference’s most important new items, are expressed by means of elite get togethers – “A meeting with  ....” for approximately 30 people, and close-up private classes for 15 people with the great masters from Japanese.
